Omens & Portents explores our tendency to attribute meaning and significance to both people and animals. In this exhibition Alex Beckinsale looks at the weird and wonderful cultural significance that we have assigned native Australian birdlife. She juxtaposes this next to drawings based in classical mythology, drawing a link between historical and contemporary folklore.
